Development Concepts
Our development concepts offer a unique combination of instruction and training materials designed for long term retention and use through spaced-repetition. With our proven development process you "learn it today - use it tomorrow". As you understand and apply our success formula you can substantially improve your results. You can positively impact your organization’s ability to maximize organizational growth and prosperity, while minimizing setbacks.

Three issues are timeless essentials for successful leaders.

ATTITUDES: Developing your attitude is a key step to your development as a person - your key to living a richer and fuller life, and to achieving more of what you're capable.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Developing your skills in human relations will directly benefit your role as a leader.  The more knowledge you have about managing and leading people, the more effective you will be.

GOAL SETTING: Goal setting is the spark to the fire, the key to unlock the door to success. Clearly defined goals reduce conflict, increase awareness, motivation, and achievement.

Your time is valuable.  You need a learning method that delivers lasting results.

Let's take a look at traditional learning methods.

DISCOVERY: One way we learn is through discovery.  Suddenly you have an epiphany, a sudden realization or comprehension - a brilliant flash of insight and everything "just clicks".  We call this the A-HA! phenomenon or the "Wow, I could ‘a had a V-8!" approach to learning.

IMPACT: Another learning method is through an event or experience with a forceful consequence.  Someone has a massive coronary and says, "That's it.  It's time for me to spend more time with my family and friends, stop and smell the roses" - and so on.  Another example is that you hear an incredibly powerful speaker and your whole life improves: your marriage improves, your kids get better grades in school, your truck runs better, and your dog doesn't even have fleas anymore.  (Hey, remember that we're located in Nashville, TN)  Through IMPACT you experience a miraculous transformation.

The problem with these two learning methods is that they are difficult to reproduce and mostly episodic.  Back to that powerful speaker, it is estimated that if you are exposed to an idea once, you're lucky if you recall 50% of it after one day.  After two days, maybe 25%.  After 16 days, you're lucky if you recall 2% of the information you were exposed too.

SPACED REPETITION: On the other hand, if you are exposed to an idea six times over a period of six days, you will retain upwards from 62%.  And you will retain this for the rest of your life!

Let us demonstrate...

How much is four times two?

Eight times four?

Six times seven ?

How much is 14 times 17?
(Okay, that was unfair.)
FLASH CARDS

How long has it been since you studied your multiplication tables?  But you still remember them.  And that's the point of the illustration. You learned the multiplication tables through repetition.  While it may have been a very long time since you learned your multiplication tables, your answers were immediate.  The power of repetition is tremendous.

But here's the best part! - it's not a conscious kind of retention.  When we stimulated it with this short demonstration, you responded automatically with the answers. The same thing is true with our attitudes. It's not a conscious kind of response, it's a reflex, stimulated by the occasion, problem, or situation.  Do you see now the effectiveness of spaced repetition?
